Mount Hope Assembly Iloilo City Philippines
Boy raised from the dead!

There was much excitement in the church on 4 September 2000. The pastors and leaders under Pastor Rey Calusay in Iloilo City, Philippines, were testifying of a child being raised from the dead (!).

Indeed - he had been pronounced dead. Anthony's body had been dragged from the water by boat passengers incoming from Jordan, Guimaras. He had been in the water for an unkown period. There was no breathing and no pulse. The skin color looked 'black'. The paramedic failed to resuscitate him. Pastor Nonoy Degoma prayed for life to come into the boy - but he remained dead. Then, whilst taking the body to the hospital on a tricycle, water gushed from the boy - Pastor Nonoy prayed again - and he came to life!!

Mr David Bates, a businessman from Sydney Australia, went to Iloilo City to meet with the Pastors, to witness interviews, and to take photographs. Those interviewed were the pastor (Pastor Nonoy Degoma), the Barangay Captain (Mr Salvador Roque) in Tanza, Iloilo City, the paramedic, and the mother (Aurora) and father (Martin) of the little boy, Anthony Arellano.

Now the whole town is talking about the power of God - and they have given little Anthony the name 'Banhaw'(risen boy)! They are saying he should at least be brain damaged, but in fact the opposite is true. He now talks non-stop, and the community is saying he spoke very little before! Anthony is 4 1/2 years old.

God has gone ahead! The testimony from the people in the community is speaking louder about this miracle, and the power of God, than the Pastors themselves could!
