THE S.O.S. GOAL AND S.O.S TEAM
 The S.O.S. Church Planting Goal
PRIMARY GOAL: An SOS team composed of about 50 volunteers and organized into 5 squads will work in their target place so that at the end of their field work, they will be able TO TURN OVER TO THE PIONEER WORKER A CONGREGATION OF BELIEVERS COMMITTED TO BE THE CORE GROUP OF THE NEWLY PLANTED CHURCH IN THE TOWN/ CITY.

SPECIFICS OF THE GOAL: The following describe the core group that the SOS Team will seek to form and turn over to the Pioneer Worker (SOS has set minimum goals but the team can decide to increase the figures).

    Repented and believed in Jesus as Savior and Lord.
    Baptized in water
    Baptized in Holy Spirit
    Oriented in Basics of Christian Life/Growth.

Description: Receptive, able to make decisions for Jesus or who have committed to attend Bible Study. 		50

    Oriented in Corporate Church Life & Worship
    Linked with the Pioneer Worker and expressed support to his leadership
    Attended the Grand Opening Service

LARGE BIBLE STUDY CENTERS: Located in the poblacion or nearby barangay, at least 3 families or 8-25 persons, with designated host & facilitator. 7 per worker  
ORGANIZED INITIAL CHURCH RECORDS: Alphabetically arranged record of members, Summary lists of Core group, Persons Baptized in water BS Centers hosts & Facilitators, Provisional leaders Turned over to PW  

SQUAD EFFORT: Dividing the total team goals by the number of squads, each squad composed of a maximum of 9 members will aim for the following MINIMUM goals.

  1. Ten converts, 6 with complete conversion experience: 6 baptized in water and Holy Spirit as well as oriented in Basic Christian Life and Growth.
  2. Ten additional good contacts
  3. Congregate the 10 Converts & 10 Good Contacts.
  4. Organize two large Bible Studies, each with a host and facilitator
  5. Link all of their converts and contacts to the Pioneer Worker.
  6. Keep complete record of progress of their converts & good contacts.

INDIVIDUAL EFFORT: To contribute to the reaching of the goal, each volunteer should have the following minimum program of work everyday.

  1. Seek 2 new contacts per day, follow up 2 good contacts or converts.
  2. As assigned: conduct Bible Study, follow-up absentees, invite 2 persons to large group meetings.
  3. Spot for potential leaders, BS Hosts, BS Facilitators.
  4. Report accurately to scribe all results of work.
