IMPORTANT FIELDWORK DETAILS
Last Days Activities
|
|
The fieldwork period has been scheduled to include the Monday after
the 3rd Sunday on field. Team should leave on Tuesday to be able to do the
following:
- Complete the consolidation activities. (refer to Consolidate Step Roles)
- FD to sit down with PW for final instructions on conservation plans.
- Complete IPR forms and other reports for the Pioneer Worker. Check if
reports and records to be left to PW are in order.
- Evaluate over-all work and draw up recommendations for FD's presentation
in the Evaluation meeting with the SOS Council.
- Leave a good impression to the town, as much as you tried to make a good
first impression:
- Make last visit to town officials to thank them for their
services
- Present to School OIC's any gift/donation by SOS. Return keys and any
other borrowed equipment. Clean the rooms and kitchen you used.
- Help warden clean and make inventory of equipment to be returned to
Chief Warden.
- Check remaining supplies: The job's not over until the paperwork's done.
All extra IPR forms and tracts should be left with the PW.
- Any extra S.O.S. manuals should be brought back to the
Roxas City base.
- Check on any personal supplies (toothpaste, laundry soap, glasses,
plates, water buckets, basins, blanket) that can be donated to the PW.
- FD, Team Scribe and Team Comptroller - review reports.
AFTER S.O.S
The responsibility of an S.O.S. volunteer extends beyond the period of the
field work.
IN RELATION TO THE WORK
- Continue to pray for the work you have helped start in the town:
- For the specific contacts and converts you have been
privileged to minister unto. Mention their names to the Lord. Pray for
their preservation and growth.
- For the Pioneer worker
- Continue to do spiritual warfare against the work of the enemy
in the town.
Encourage the contacts/converts by mail. Do not write directly to the
contact/convert, rather, address your letters to the pastor.
- If possible, organize a team from your church to
visit the new church sometime later.
IN RELATION TO YOURSELF
- Continue to apply the principles for victorious
Christian life you have learned in SOS.
- Continue to be a soulwinner. Work with your local pastor.
- Seek God's will upon your life. It could be that through your
exposure in the SOS missions work, God has planted in your heart
the burden for a full-time ministry. Listen to God's call.
Get the counsel of your pastor.
IN RELATION TO YOUR CHURCH AND PASTOR
- Present yourself to your pastor. Tell him of your willingness to be
used of God in the church ministry.
- Thank your church and sponsors that supported you.
- Be an example in zeal for the lost.
IN RELATION TO THE NEXT S.O.S.
- If you have a good suggestion to improve the SOS program, give it
through your FD.
- Testify to others about your SOS experiences.
- Be a recruiter for the next S.O.S.
- Commit to attend the next S.O.S.
- Identify difficulties you encountered in the previous SOS project and
plan action steps to overcome them. Plan how you can be a better volunteer
next time.
