IMPORTANT FIELDWORK DETAILS
 USING THE SUNDAYS ON FIELD

The Sundays on field are good times to conduct large group meetings not only for getting contacts but as well as to accomplish some of the convert step goals. The attendance of the converts to these meetings will also prepare them for congregate life.

FIRST SUNDAY Seminar-type Service or Seminars for Evangelism & Orient first week converts in basic Christian Life and Growth. Jesus shows us in the Parable of the Sower what to anticipate when preaching the Word. He shows us too how to communicate our message, what kind of message and what kind of results are possible. Plan this Sunday meeting with the following aims:

  1. For Contacts to understand the Good News, MAT 13:19
    1. Explain it. If needed, in their dialect.
    2. Show it. Use Illustrations, Visual Aids, Skits.
    3. Testify of it. Choose appropriate testimonies.
    4. Simplify it. Use simple words and terms.
  2. For New Converts to make lasting decision, V. 21 - 22
    1. Prepare contacts about coming troubles & persecution.
    2. Encourage contacts on overcoming hindering worries.
    3. Warn contacts about deceitfulness of riches.
  3. For Converts to commit to spiritual growth/fruitfulness, V. 23
    1. Instruct them about the NEED to grow spiritually.
    2. Show God's basic provisions for spiritual growth.
    3. Challenge them to commit for follow-up.

SECOND SUNDAY: Charismatic Pentecostal Service, for Baptism in Spirit.

Since the major part of our goal is to plant a Full Gospel Church in the town, it is important to introduce the converts early to the Charismatic experiences. Aims for this meeting are:

  1. For Converts to be introduced to the Holy Spirit, ACT 19:2
    1. Teach about the Baptism. in the Spirit being promised to all believers.
    2. About the power given together with the Spirit.
  2. For the Converts to Receive the Holy Spirit.
    1. Pray for all born-again converts only
    2. Instruct about Speaking in tongues & other gifts.
  3. For the Converts to Start worshiping in the Spirit.
    1. Orient in Praise and Worship/ Ways of praising the Lord.
    2. Experience true "praise & worship".
  4. For Converts to experience Full-Gospel preaching, 1TH 1:5
    1. Prophetic prayer with laying on of hands.
    2. Healing, praying for all kinds of needs.

THIRD SUNDAY: Grand Opening Sunday Worship Service (refer to Congregate Activities)
