CONVERT Step - Roles

LEAD GROUP: FD AND HIS LEADERS (PW, INTERN FD, SQL’S, TEAM SCRIBE)

  1. Evaluate responses of contacts. Determine the good contacts and those open for Bible Study. Schedule for immediate follow-up.
  2. Prepare and mobilize LIFERS as soon as there are openings for Bible Study (ASAP, even if contact stage is still going on).
  3. Identify from results of work questions or excuses of contacts that need to be dealt with to make them more open for Bible Study.
  4. FD mobilize Team Trainer to start the equipping sessions.
  5. As the number of converts increase, schedule sessions or seminars for water baptism and Baptism in the Holy Spirit; and later a New Life Seminar/Class to instruct new believers on basics of Christian Life and Growth.
  6. Mobilize PW to conduct Discipleship Classes for new believers.
  7. Continue to evaluate results and methods for better results.
  8. Make reassignments of LIFE workers if needed.

LIFE GROUP (Includes the Lead Group):

  1. Start conducting Bible studies as soon as there are openings.
  2. Study and prepare for a clear presentation of the conversion lessons. See guidelines in using the Bible Study lessons.
  3. Bring along a `LIGHT’ member with the aim to train him/her.
  4. Report absentees in Bible Studies to be followed up by lighters.
  5. Takes note of excuses and questions that hinder the decision of the contact/convert and present them in the Study Group Session.
  6. Be keen to spot potential Bible Study facilitators and hosts.
  7. Spot good converts that could be potential leaders and endorse them to the PW for his discipling care.
  8. Personally lead contacts through the doorways of repentance and faith. Get them to attend large group sessions for water baptism and Holy Spirit Baptism. See to it that their attendance in these sessions are reflected in the IPR forms.
  9. Instruct converts in Basic Christianity or let them attend Discipleship Class of PW.
  10. As much as time allows, assist new believers in applying what they have been taught. Examples: modeling prayer to them, having devotions with them.
  11. Continue to report all results of work to squad scribe.

LIGHT GROUP:

  1. Continue to motivate contacts for Bible Study.
  2. Visit absentees in Bible Studies, Discipleship Classes, etc.
  3. Aim to progress into a LIFER. Go and learn with a LIFER in conducting Bible studies.
  4. Invite contacts/converts to attend Discipleship Classes, Seminars, and other sessions.
  5. Serve as intercessors for the effective ministry of the Word by the LIFERS.
  6. Squad Scribes update IPR forms daily.
