THE S.O.S. GOAL AND S.O.S TEAM
JOB DESCRIPTIONS of Squad Officers

The squad officers are appointed from among the members of the squad who are classified as `LIGHT’. They are not yet ready to effectively conduct Bible Studies but can perform other valuable tasks. However, as the field work progresses, through their exposure in the ministry of the `LIFE’ volunteers, they eventually gain confidence in conducting Bible studies themselves and are eventually promoted to `LIFE” classification.

SQUAD OPERATIONS OFFICER
RESPONSIBLE TO: SQUAD LEADER (Sql)
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Further survey assigned portion of area of ministry for more effective planning and strategizing. If possible, make a workable road map with landmarks for reference of the squad.
  2. Check the promptness of Sql members in leaving the camp for fieldwork.
  3. Continually scout for opportunities for more contacts (during contact step) – observe where groups of people, when they are available. Make suggestions to Sql.
  4. Assist in scouting for a fellowship center if it has not been pre-arranged.
  5. Assist Sql in implement all directives and rules in kitchen, housing and security.
  6. Plan with SqL and coordinate recreation and fun times of the Squad.

SQUAD SCRIBE:
RESPONSIBLE TO: SQUAD LEADER, secondly to the Team Scribe
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Serve as secretary for the Sql. Perform all clerical and secretarial work for squad.
  2. Post all reminders for the Squad members. Keep all in a notebook for referral.
  3. See to it that the squad members record properly and accurately the results of their field work in their notebooks.
  4. Gather the notebooks at the end of the day and assist Team Scribe in entering the data in the IPR forms.
  5. Keep a journal of daily activities and events: What activities were planned, who was assigned, what happened, testimonies, etc. Take note of events worth entering in the Team Scribe's diary.
  6. Keep record of prayer requests and share them to team for prayer during intercession times.

SQUAD SUPPLIES OFFICER:
RESPONSIBLE TO: SQUAD LEADER, secondly to Team Officers
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Secure from Team Scribe evangelistic and follow-up materials for squad use.
  2. Secure from Team Warden whatever equipment needed for squad operations and return the same.
  3. Responsible to get from Team Comptroller allowance for squad visitation fares.
  4. Request first-aid medicines from Team Scribe Officer when necessary.
  5. Carry with him Xeroxed copies of permits for public meetings.
