The Berean Philosophy of Training
The Five M’s: The kind of training we give is described in these five M's:
  1. MORALS - we believe that the minister, above all, needs more than just academic qualifications. He needs the spiritual character development to qualify in the ministry. We follow a personalized Christian development monitoring.

  2. MESSAGE - we believe that the minister must have a full-gospel information needed to communicate `the whole counsel of God'. To develop learning habits and the diligent study of the Bible is our emphasis.

  3. METHODS - we believe in learning the principles and strategies of ministry that can yield God's expected results. The practical methods we learn in evangelism, missions, discipling and other church ministerial responsibilities are derived from Scriptures and valuable experiences of other ministers.

  4. MOTIVATION - we believe that God provides the motivation that makes the minister powerful, faithful and victorious servant of God. We learn a God-centered approach to ministry that designates God as the foundation and reason for being. Then, we emphasize the work of the Holy Spirit who gives direction and propulsion in a God-centered ministry.

  5. MISSIONS - we believe that God wants us to do the work He gives to us in the Body of Jesus Christ and in the world. We are Fishers of Men. He helps us discover our portion in the work of God, enables us to do it, and gives success. We believe we are fellow-workers with Him.
Consequent Roles of the BSM Teachers The BSM teachers keep in mind what they aim the students to be and therefore teach with conscious effort to accomplish these goals.

  1. Morals -- serve as parenting teacher that will facilitate and monitor the students’ growth in Christian character and values, implement discipleship and discipline if necessary.
  2. Motivation -- intensify the students’ desire to serve the Lord, check their motives in ministry, help them clarify their vision, and teach them positive attitudes even towards difficulties.
  3. Message -- impart Bible knowledge, sound and clearly stated doctrines, employ teaching-learning principles, seek mastery of lesson to lead students to higher level of learning.
  4. Methods -- design activities and opportunities for ministry exposures and involvement to help them develop ministry skills.
  5. Ministry/Missions -- assist students to identify their callings and facilitate placements, available as mentors and consultant even after students have long graduated.
Consequent Roles Of The BSM Students BSM students can learn and catch the kind of training in BSM only as they have the mind-set of a SERVANT-STUDENT. They know how to obey and submit themselves under a mentor/spiritual parent and cooperate in the teaching-learning process so the following will be said of them at the end of the training.

  1. Those who have the character to handle both hardships and success in the ministry.
  2. Those who will bring the whole gospel to the lost, able to communicate the gospel and represent the Lord Jesus Christ.
  3. Those who will begin a local church - able to start a local congregation.
  4. Those who will break through frontiers, able to cross barriers: economic, cultural, social & geographical.
  5. Those who will build this church into responsible ministries - able to train the believers and multiply themselves in the believers.
  6. Those who will propagate the missionary vision to others.
