PASTOR'S GUIDE THROUGH THE PHASES
TOWARDS INDIGENOUS/MISSIONARY STATUS
I. PHASE 1:
EVANGELIZING
DESCRIPTION: Getting good contacts and leading them through the 4 doorways of
conversion (repentance, faith, water baptism and Holy Spirit Baptism); and consequently,
introducing the new believers to church life and fellowship with other believers.
At the later months of the period allotted for this phase, training of the core
group in the work of evangelism and follow-up work for conversion will be done.
(Good contacts - those that are positive towards studying the Bible, hence can
be led through the conversion process.
I. OBJECT OF MINISTRY: All people of the town (are prospect contacts) The good contacts towards becoming converts.
II. PASTOR'S MAJOR ROLES: Evangelist, Follow -Up Worker, Bible Study Worker, Model Role in Zeal in evangelism and in Abundant and Victorious Christian Living.

V. TEACHING CURRICULUM:
Lessons to Motivate People to Study the Bible or Attend Home B.S.
Lessons for Conversion
Basic Christianity Series: Assurance of Salvation, etc.
Lessons to Orient People to Church Life and Fellowship
Introductory Lessons On Praise & Worship (Focus on `Why' First)
VI. WORKFORCE NEEDED:
Helpers in making contacts: Bridges, sponsors
B.S. Facilitators' Meetings
Follow -Up Helpers
Intercessors
Testifiers (can be new converts)
More Leaders for Evangelistic B.S. (later)
VII. STRUCTURE/ORGANIZATION:
· Organize core group to do functions that are immediately needed but within their capacity to do as new believers:

VIII. TRAINING MATERIALS:
Corresponding to above needed work force and Committee functionsIX. NUMERICAL GOAL: (per worker)
1. At least 25 new good contacts per month: 1/person in 5days/wk work.
2. All of the good contacts to have complete conversion experience. 3. At least a total of 70% of core group involve in ministries related to evangelism: intercession, follow-up, and later - conducting Evangelistic Bible studies and getting more new contacts.
X. TIME FRAME:
4 to 6 months. During the later months, pastor should concentrate in preparing and mobilizing the people for evangelism so he could move on to do his roles in the proceeding phases.
